I am soon headed to Kentucky to pick up my crazy cousin who was stranded. So, he will be back in Michigan shortly. Yes, I am still in the United States for those of you who are curious.

Basically, I have been working to save money and watching my aunts dog run from an empty Jim Beam bottle [there is a very long story about the empty Jim Beam bottle and the fear] that my cousin left behind before he went back to Kentucky.

My cousins and I are very close. We all are born between the years of 1984-1988. In order, my sister [August 12, 1984], my oldest cousin [August 3, 1985], my brother [October 13, 1986], my second oldest [September 15, 1987], me [October 2, 1987], and my stranded cousin [September 29, 1988]. So, as you can imagine we are close.

Anyways, here I sit watching The George Lopez Show. No, I am not Mexican, but I think the only the actor on the show whom is Mexican is George Lopez. I actually enjoy many aspects of Mexican culture, such as many musical bands like RBD and so forth.

The problem us Hispanics "have" with Mexicans is everyone thinks because you speak Spanish you're Mexican. They don't realize there are 22 Hispanic nations. Some Hispanics, (I have a Peruvian friend who detests Mexicans solely because people think she's Mexican) only hate or dislike Mexicans because whites/blacks/Asians usually think that we're them. Like whites/blacks/Hispanics think all Asians are Chinese.

I have the reverse effect. People think I am just some cracker. Well, they don't realize I am Argentinian until they read my name and are like, "Uh... ah...ah-rah... ah-rah-uh-joe? " Lol. Well, a pointer for you is Araújo-Delgado is pronounced as "Ah-rah-oo-hoe Deh-l-gah-doe."

Truth is, I am a very proud Argentine. I love my Spanish and Italian history. We speak Spanish and eat Italian food. ^_^ Some people don't realize the Spanish spoken in Argentina and Uruguay (Rioplatense Spanish~ use of Vos and Vosotros), Bolivia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala Honduras, Nicaragua and Paraguay (Use of Vos as singular but Ustedes as plural).

In voseo, when you form the second person familiar using vos, you take the infinitive and add an ás, és, or ís instead of as, es, or is. Hablar turns into vos hablás instead of tú hablas like in Mexico or Cuba etc.

Enough on my Spanish lessons. I hope you are enjoying my blogs. Don't forget to email me.
